Toady we went back for our second attempt. After we failed, we went home and studied the map and made a new plan (we knew where not to go!).
Much quieter today as the mountain is shut down until ski season. We found the herd path easily and headed down. We started the bushwack earlier than last time and sometimes found ourselves on a "path" and sometimes we were pushing through the spruce. The snow was gone but it was icy and the sun was melting the ice so we still got wet, but at least we didn't have those piles of snow falling down our clothes. We were happy when we spotted the canister and signed in. All in all it was a great day for a hike, but this hike is not going to go on the favorites list. Nancy, Joe & Cinder
