What a perfect day for hiking. Cool temps, low humidity, and windy, often very gusty at times. Our group was made up of Dick, Jo, Kim, Bookah and I.

We made good time up to the Mink Hollow col and the trail to the top of Sugarloaf was at times steep and others moderate.
Just below the top we spent some time taking in distant views from a big rock, but the cool windchill necessitated bundling up a bit. After tagging the top, we hiked down a minute to the short spur trail to the overlook where we had lunch and an unsuspecting Kim became Bookah's new, best friend.
The views to the south were expansive.

The last few hikes have been an effort for our canine companion. Hot weather, higher temps and high humidity have kept Bookah's enthusiasm in check. Today, with Autumn-like temps, she climbed Sugarloaf 3 times, a taste of Autumn conditions.
On a day like this, there were lots of picture-taking opportunities, and Jo will certainly attach hers when she chimes in.

It was really nice hiking with relatively new-to-the-Catskills, Kim and we hope she'll join us on future hikes.
