Summerbridge Cambridge, an academic enrichment program for low-income middle school students in Cambridge, MA is having a camping trip for 86
students. They are going to Harold Parker State Forest this Thursday
July 20th. One of the organizers writes: "This trip is a fantastic and broadening experience for our students - last year one of my students who had spent all her life in cities told me that she consciously saw the stars for the first time. Unfortunately, we have run into an unanticipated hangup - we are short of tents for students to sleep in. Is it possible that you have a tentor two that you can loan? While we will do our best to take care of
the tents, Summerbridge Cambridge has also agreed to guarantee to
replace any lost or signficantly damaged tent. We would really
appreciate your help. If you are able to, please email me right away at
[email protected]."
I've traded emails with one of the organizers, who tells me that they are most eager for some large tents (as opposed to the small backpacker tents), He tells me, "We are able to do tent pick up anywhere in the Boston area (Cambridge, Brookline, Newton, Somerville, Dorchester, and
Waltham are especially good because we have staff living there)."
