The trail to Allen is broken.
Yesterday, 01-31-2008, a group of 13 Quebecers including myself and Pinpin who made his 99th ascent of Allen, opened the path to the summit of Allen. Danny, one member of the group, finishing his W46.
We started with 18 to 24 inches and 60 inches of snow in some places. Only 10 of the 13 starters reached the summit after 8.45h team effort, but I was not one of those. And the last 1.8miles take 3 hours.
I am very pleased to have participated in this group effort. They came back to there cars, 13h after they start.
I am disappointed but not discouraged, because it was very difficult and I was tired before it started.
Bravo to all, you are really strong.
