Trail Maintainence in the Whites, what's Ok ?

I might have to rethink my earlier statement that my trail is adequately blazed after losing the trail for 30 minutes today. Long story short, I lost my trail just after the junction with the Saco River Trail because of an errant blaze that is not as noticeable in summer, as it is in winter. This deficiency in the trail blazing shall be rectified this spring.

I made up a small sign that I will staple to the trailhead Kiosk this weekend with our names (trail names) and to post on newenglandtrailconditons.com to report any maintenance issues.

I like that idea. My trail does not have a kiosk though.

I have seen along the M+M trail several birdhouse shaped notebook holders that folks can log themselves into. It would be useful to trail maintainers if we had something like this type of resource however I am sure it would be frowned upon in the Whites.
