We joined Steph for her 48/67 finish today, starting from Pine Bend Brook PA and heading up to the Tripyramids. We were accompanied by MBP, Cumulus and the long lost Cantdog!
It was cold when we started but it warmed up as we climbed. A light snow fell most of the day, yielding an inch on our car when we got back. The trail was almost bare at the bottom, but eventually we donned micro-spikes as it got steeper. The trail was well packed out from a group of folks lead by the mighty Danny, but the snow depth was never more than 4-6 inches. There is a lot of ice underfoot so traction aids were needed, (at least by most of us).
At the top, Chocolate, cookies, and liqueur were passed around, and Steph received her 48/67 patches.
After the hike, we slogged thru Conway traffic and made it over to Moat for some burgers and brews.
