I always wondered why certain systems would just miss us...

PERFECT! Only happened to me about 1000 times...

(and so far in Denver we have 1.5 inches of snow so far this winter, all falling when I was in Boston last month) sigh... at least the mountains are doing pretty well.

We had the hospital holiday party today at lunch. We all sat outside in 60+ degree sunshine amid the plastic snowmen. Weird.

Ain't it always the way?

An equal but opposite phenomenon always occurs during meteor shower peaks as the clouds converge over my viewing location.

Well, for once, having moved to the current drought capital of the world, we're expecting clear skies! Have to drive up into the foothills after dinner to show the kids. They say the peak here will be around 9 PM MST- don't even have to camp out all night! Will post with anything dramatic, though I don't have a camera to capture it.

Argh. too many clouds in the east in the evening and an early wake-up time this AM prevented a good show. But there was one brilliant meteor when taking out the trash this AM just before sunrise!
