A goal of mine this summer/fall is to hike in this area and just wondering about lodging options..course camping at Elmore is an option but how about cottages/cabins?? Thanks in advance, I hate doing internet searches!! Lefty E

Hi Lefty E,
I'm not totally familiar with the Worcester Range, but looking at my map and at its location, I can tell you of hiker friendly places I've stayed in towns close to there.
In Waitsfield, the Hyde Away Inn is great: a pub and breakfast is included.
In Richmond, Mama Bowers made my day after hiking through a day or two or more of torrential rains. Very nice folks run this B&B.
And for ultra economy there is the Awesome View Hikers Hostel in Johnson. It's a no frills bedroom and bathroom in a basement. Fee is donated to the GMC. Only available midweek.
This summer when I'm out there I'm staying in Morrisville at Nye's Green Valley Farm which I've heard great things about, but haven't tried yet.
Not cabins or cottages. Hope it's helpful anyway.

Thanks! I have only driven the Rt. 100, Rt. 12 to Rt. 2 one time and did not take good notes!! But I know I want to hit those mts...

Did not stay anywhere when I did Hunger but the view from the ridge is wonderful, a great choice.:)

Definately a beautiful hike, I think around 14 miles or so for Worcester, Hogback and Hunger.
We prob. stayed at Little River Campground, (though I can't remember for sure) but you'd be really close to Stowe and all of its $$ lodging options.....and really good food!

Yes thanks Michelle that is an option to go along with Elmore State Park too..! I did check that out on VT State Park website...canoe and kayak too I guess..!
