Wachusett beer night after w*rk

With the full moon rapidly approaching ( Jan. 3rd ), I thought it might be a good time for a little night hike on Wachusett. Especially if there's a little snow on the ground.
The weather is looking great for wednesday the 3rd, as well as the 4th.
Beer is optional,of course.And a post-hike establishment could be worked in.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. Any interests?

I just picked those two days/nights, as the best chance of moonlight, according to forecasts.
I think the sun sets around 4:20 or so now. Nice to check-out sunset or leave later, I'm pretty much up for everything.

Right now I'm thinking wednesday the 3rd. between 5-6.
Meet at westside trailhead or administration rd.
I'm flexible. Can leave earlier or later,depending on what folks can swing.
Also the 4th. looks good too,if it w*rks better for people.
I may go both nights.

6 is better for me for either Thursday or Friday. I think West Side trail would be the more adventurous after dark.

I'm at 75% probably for this one (just have to clear it with the executive council at home... The 4 y/o might protest). I haven't hiked with the dog yet this week, and this would cure my itch for Wachusett. Any final plans on a time and trailhead? Is this a dog friendly hike or no?

Trail conditions...........

I was just on the West Side Trail a couple of hours ago and it was nice and dry on the two steep climb areas....beautiful day for it! The only wet areas were the ones that are always there, near the trail head and mid way between the two steeps.

Better count me out. My knee is still barking at me after Sunday's hike. If I feel up to it, I'll be there, but don't wait around.

Not looking good for me. For everything to fall into place I needed to be out of work by 2, and as of 8:25 am that doesn't look like it will happen. Everyone have fun up there.
