Hiked up Huntington Ravine to Washington, over to Monroe, Camel Trail, Davis Path, Down Boott Spur.
This was my first time on Washington during a prime hiking time in a long time. I forgot how much of circus the summit of Washington can be. We passed many group until we split off onto Huntington. We passed about 5 groups before we got to the bottom of the Ravine. Absolute beautiful day climbing up ravine. Once we got above the ravine we started to pass more groups up to the summit. Typical crowds on the summit with lots of cars funneling up the auto road. 44 degrees with gusts to 56 at summit The views in all directions were primo. Quite a few more coming up Washington from Crawford Path. We had Monroe to ourselves although quite a few groups were coming up the Monroe Loop from Franklin. Back down to Lakes for a quick snack then over Camel towards Boott Spur. The crowds weren't too bad until we started descending. We passed many going both directions. I enjoyed the beautiful day but I think I'll stick to off times in the future to visit George.
