Starr King Rd is not great at the moment with, moguls and ruts. If you have a low car, or an old car, you might want to avoid, or at least take the road slowly and be prepared to scrape the bottom.

The bottom part of the trial was extremely muddy. Ice appeared on the trail about a half mile up, and after a quarter mile or so of on again off again ice, the micrpospikes went on and stayed on.

Microspikes are absolutely necessary right now.

Please please please stay on the trail and do not widen it by walking on the side. All that does is kill the foliage and widen the trail unnecessarily.
