Hi everyone! I was planning on hiking Waumbek tomorrow, but with the recent round of weather, I'm re-thinking that choice. Does anyone know how much snow might be on the Starr King Trail? I have no snowshoes, so I don't want to slog through a foot of wet snow, not to mention ruining the trail with tons of postholes.

Anyway, my backup plan is Passaconaway, but I'm concerned about the river crossing on Dicey's Mill Trail. I know it will be high, but will it be impassable? What to do? What to do?

Which hike do you think offers the best chance for success on Thursday?

Thanks in advance for the help....

I hiked Waumbek on Sunday, and there was a fun amount of snow I'm guessing starting at 2500 feet. (maybe 3-ish inches on the summits) But with all this precipitation this week it could be different. Just watch out for the three large Canadian Jays.
