Just a terrific day 'whacking West Settlement. For a change, the woods roads were not overgrown with blackberry prickers. The day was made interesting by a botanist in our trio spotting the largest Serviceberry tree he's ever seen, in a grove of large ones, fantastic views from an open area just below the summer, warm but not humid weather, and a mother bear with 2 cubs scampering after her.
