White Mountain (and National Forests) Fee Free days in 2012

"Fee Free Days

The Forest Service is waiving standard amenity recreation fees at sites nationwide to celebrate three different events:

January 14-16, 2012 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Weekend
June 9, 2012 – National Get Outdoors Day
September 29, 2012 – National Public Lands Day
November 10-12, 2012 – Veterans Day Weekend"

A reminder that forest service volunteers that report at least 16 hours in a year get a free annual parking pass. http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/white_mountain/volunteering/

In the past that has meant day-use fees only, wonder if it now includes camping?

Good question. The new press release doesnt clarify unfortunately.

"Visitors to national forests will not pay fees on the following dates in 2012:"
