So, I've decided to finally recommence with slowly picking away at trailbagging (aka redlining) and finally picked up the 29th edition of the WMG. My latest edition is the 26th so figured it was time for an update. ;)

Looking through this most excellent guide last night (thank you, thank you, Steve Smith!! :D ), I noticed to my dismay that pages 459-490 are missing, and pages 427-458 are repeated.

Has anyone else had this problem, or was I unlucky enough to get a dud?

I checked mine, it has all its pages and no bonus ones, so it looks like you may have gotten a "rare collectors misprint".

I guess you need to list it on Ebay for big bucks :)

Years ago when I moved into the area, the WMG came complete with a new Franconia map that had an updated title block but had the prior locations of the trails prior to the Franconia Parkway relocations. It took me one or two hikes in that area to figure that one out.

Looks like you have to do some trails in the Chocorua Range twice, but skip a bunch in the Carter and Baldface area completely!

^^^^^ this ^^^^^ HAH!!!!

That only works for users that sort oldest to newest! :)

Edit: For those interested, this can be set by going into your profile settings (http://www.vftt.org/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions) and changing the 'Thread Display Mode' to 'Linear - Newest First'. Saves a lot of scrolling in more popular threads. The brain adjusts to the reverse sort pretty quickly.

Spoke with a very nice AMC person at Pinkham. (Still waiting for a callback from AMC customer service # in Boston.) She said there was, in fact, a printing error in a limited number of copies - they've gotten "maybe a dozen" copies back from folks w/faulty editions.

They are mailing me a replacement copy. Yay!! Great to see such good customer service!

If you have the WMG 29th edition, you might want to doublecheck to see if you have missing/repeated pages!
