My third trip to Owlshead and the first time I ever got a view from the summit! Thanks guys, really enjoyed this one. As usual, your pictures are amazing. I snapped this one from that little high point.

Owl's Head was a great hike... I was really unsure of whether I could hike it in a day -- especially in winter -- and was surprised at how easy it was. (Okay, maybe that had something to do with the springlike conditions.) It's always fun to hike with you guys! :)

I forgot to charge my camera so I took pictures very sparingly... Here are the few I took. :)

Great Weekend, Trip Report, and Pictures

Bob,

Great pictures as usual. It really looks like things have frozen up quite a bit in a short time from the Owls Head pictures. I sense the crossings still have some traps.

Good job!

I'm glad somebody else found the Franconia view, I thought I was imagining it :)

I'm rather suprised that it wasn't discovered earlier. Can't wait to go back there this Summer.

Great...Because it is on my list of to-do's this summer! Looked like an awesome day to be outside...wish I could have been there :)

Jim,

Did you have to climb a tree to get that pic?

Yep, like Amy said, right from the knob's top. We did have to take turns though, not much room up there! ;) Three trips now to OH and my first with views from the summit!

Thanks for the nice comments Bob. Can I put a link on it to your page with the maps and photos?
