Today we hiked Caribou Mountain just over the border in Maine. It was fairly warm and humid today and it looked like the summit was going to be in the clouds and it was for the most part. Clouds would clear out every once in a while and we would have some views, but mostly we had no long range views. Instead we looked down. It's a whole nother world down there.
Yellow Coral.
Mountain Holly.
Lichen.
Mountain Cranberry growing in the lichen.
A little bit of dirt and something will find a way to grow there.
Looks like a rock garden of some sort but it's a moss growing on a lichen.
Bristly Sarsaparilla covered in water droplets.
A very well camouflaged grasshopper.
A close up view of lichen.
Jewelweed and spider webs.
Turtlehead.
A spider caught in the act of spinning its web.
Just another great day in the White Mountains!
