Trying to do a Saturday overnighter. Usually ski in a few miles, set up camp, and then head off for the day. We were skiing in Tamworth this past weekend, and it was pretty thin. Relatives in Berlin report thin conditions there, too.

Anybody know the conditions around the Pemi or in the Presi's for skiing?

Thanks!

I can't speak for the Pemi, but the Presidentials are solide. Metal edges are definitely useful, and I'd say are essential -- along with ice axe (or other self arrest device) and crampons -- above treeline.

Skied a section of the Nanamacomuck Trail (off the Kanc) on Sunday. The coverage was...OK. Some icy spots with a little h2o bubbling through. But, overall, very skiable. I've also put in a couple days recently at Great Glen, and the coverage is pretty good there, so I'm assuming that the Hayes Copp is also in pretty good condition.
