Congrats Mark! But shouldn't you be at home feeding somebody? :>
Its being fed as I type this, I see food falling from the sky. If there is still any food left on the ground when I get home from work then I'll give it a feast!
Another 4 lists bite the dust! Wow and well done!
March was a good month for oddball list completions. I've heard of a few others wrapping up some obscure ones.
Longsleeves again?!?
He is getting soft in his old age.
Its true, I wore long sleeves up -- I was too lazy to delayer.
Guaranteed he's wearing shorts, though.
Nope! Not this time.
Nice job. But i'll be far more impressed by the Lonesome Lake keg trot.
That has gone from being Ultra-exciting to mundane and now to expected!
Congrats, MBP. Those Prominence lists were a long time coming.
Yes, I was very patient with them. Thankfully there are more of those lists, the most exciting thing I have found in those pursuits is an old uranium mine with actual uraninite ore in the tailings.
I don't think he cares about the lists or peaks, as long as he's the youngest to have completed them. Congratz once again!
Haha, There is nothing more asinine to me in the realm of list hiking than further subdividing lists and expecting exceptionalism amongst your peers just so you can be "the youngest" or "the first $X". Seasonal distinctions are as far as I am willing to go these days. On that note, when I did the 48 the first time I did them all solo! Yay me!!!! NH48-S!!!!! Perhaps I was the youngest to have soloed? Maybe I was even the youngest to have soloed and finished in November? Do we have records on that? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!!!
Is that the same cigar I gave you on Eagle Cliff? Smells like it!
That one is long gone. I think its in an ash tray somewhere in the Catskills.
In recognition of this event, I took my airplane and buzzed the summit of Shaw around 1100 on SAT.
WE SAW YOU!!!!!!!!
Congrats Marc! You've come a long way since we first met you, a young whippersnapper traipsing around the hills of Monroe SF!
I can still snap that whip pretty hard. That was a surreal hike. I had bushwhacked from Crum Hill to Spruce only to find a bunch of people walking in the woods on a trail I knew nothing about! Interestingly enough that was the first time I signed into a summit canister (On Crum). Thats a nice easy peak I'd love to revisit. Has that ridge been butchered for wind turbines that generate as much electricity as a 5 foot tall dam on the Deerfield River would yet? It was the best ridge for seeing stunted "pygmy" hardwoods in MA (yes, better than Everett!)
Are cigars becoming a hiking trend?
I don't know anyone else who does it, but if they do feel free to accuse them of copying me.
As going away again present and a final note showing my utmost appreciation for this hiking community and all the achievements that occur here. I have composed a heartfelt video essay for all of you to enjoy.
