Crank up Vivaldi's Winter concerto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1qNOfdMyGA as it sure looks like winter in the whites the last few days. Snow squalls and heavy winds with the summits in the clouds. What a change from Saturday.

Of course in past years this was usually early November so looks like we had a few bonus weekends. Hopefully the ski areas get a chance to open and stay open this year.

Indeed. I did Lafayette Saturday and the slopes of Cannon Mt just had dots of snow down the centers of the trails. Looks like their early snow making efforts were derailed by the warm up.

I climbed Paugus and Wonalancet Hedgehog yesterday. The wind was roaring pretty crazy. Not too much snow up there, maybe 3 inches at the top.
The bushwhack to the true summit of Paugus was kind of tough - it was hard to find the high point. Took me an hour round trip from trail at the lookout.
