Saturday feb 17th: First attemp on Hale-Zealand-bonds traverse
Since December 26th we where supposed to do that traverse
and we postponed it many time due to weather and our physical
condition. This saturday after the eavy snow we decided to try
it and we had to backtrack after summiting Hale and Zealand. For
the 10 miles the trail was break for only 1.5 miles. It took us 10 hrs
to summit Hale-Zealand and 4.5 hrs to hike down the 10 miles.
Next attemp will be from Lincoln wood and we will hike the 3 Bonds
and back tracké

Sunday Feb 18th. After the tough day on Hale-Zealand I went solo on
the Moosilauke by Beaver brook trail. the trail was break for the first
2.5 miles and I break trail till the summit. It was easier than yesterday
to broke trail.

Next hike:

Presi traverse
the 3 Bonds

I plan on finishing on West Bond or on Washington. :) :)

Amazing job, Rejean... you were much braver than we were! We also considered a Zealand-Bonds traverse for Saturday but just hiked out from the hut knowing there was no way to break trail all that way.

Good luck with your remaining peaks!

Is the translation of 'Rejean'

'Hiking Machine!' ? :D

My partner and I are real hiking machine. We where a bit
frustated to moving so slow with the snow.

Tres Bien Rejean!

That snow was very cruel this weekend, glad to see your list progressing :) Beaver brook is a mean trail even in the summer. I can only imagine what it would be like with ice and whatnot!
