A general comment:
A number of people have written about what works for them. There is wide variation in individual capabilities and what works for someone else may or may not work for you.
Also some people have written about situations involving overtraining injuries. What works for normal muscle, may or may not help for injured muscle and may even make the injury worse.
Ultimately, you have to figure out for yourself what works for you. (Perhaps with some help from medical personnel.)
