Hmm ... given the amount of lichen, size of the trees - my guess is somewhere in Washington State, possibly northern OR.

I've seen a car that had been smashed by a 1.5 ft diameter tree (Lake George area, NY). It had been flattened. Fortunately no one nearby when it happened. The owner had parked it at the far end of a remote parking lot so it wouldn't get dinged...
