Yes!! Small world, or mountains!, indeed! Russ remembers being told that Geri hurt her foot on a rock. I hope that is healing well for her.

At the time our paths crossed Russ and I were headed to spend the night on Zeacliff. We started our journey on Friday by heading up and over the Twins then spent two nights at Guyot. We had a total of three nights and four days out there and summited seven 4k's! We finished our weekend with a trip over Hale on Monday. Great weekend for sure!

Small world indeed!!! I wish I'd thought to yell "Alligator Eggs"...

Terra does have a tendency to leave me behind, I wouldn't call it sarcasm! :)

It was just an amazing day; this might have been about as close to "perfect" as I could ever call a hike. I don't have enough adjectives, so just head over to my photo album from the hike.

Oh cool, Laurie, did you stay at ZeaCliff Pond? That's a special place for me. My first time in the Whites I came for a three day backpack in the Pemi after a backpack in Nova Scotia (road trip!), and the first night I camped in the Pemi Wilderness, East Side, not too far from LW -- found my site in the dark. The next night I stayed at ZeaCliff, what a great place to be. Soooo different from so many places I was accustomed to...crazy weather, the works...The Whites still find ways to amaze me.

Glad you had a great trip, hope we can all hike someday. :)

I've seen this phrase floating around the forum...what does it reference? I'm sure there is a funny story behind this. :p

But she did wait for you so that's something right? :D

No, we saw the tentsites at the junction area before heading down to the pond, but we stayed on Zeacliff itself. It was really nice to catch the sunrise the next morning.
