AT Trek from Rt 25A to Glencliff 5/3/12

Just a couple more I worked my way back down to the AT and headed down the short spur path to Wachipauka Pond. It is a nice pond, with great fishing opportunities. Now it was time to head down to Rt 25. I had hiked this section of trail before in the winter of 2009. It looks a little...

AT Trek from Rt 25A to Glencliff 5/3/12

There isn't a whole lot to say about my hike last week, except it was the muddiest hike I've ever been on. I was looking for lots of wildflowers...and there were, except the sun wasn't really out, so most were closed. But overall, it was a great (but somewhat tiring hike) where I only saw one...

Black Mountain in Benton and the perfect hike!

If you get a chance, head up there on a perfect fall day when all the leaves are changing. The views are spectacular with all the changing colors. Also, right beyond the summit, there is a small beaten path that leads to a larger ledge area with more expansive views. I always head over there...

My first hike was Mt Chocorua when I was 7, and then a couple weeks later it was Osceola. I've been hooked ever since. I agree that Chocorua was an amazing experience, and the views were something that I did not know exsited in NH. Welch and Dickey is the first hike I did after taking a long...

Paat 2 Sitting around watching people ski and snowboard was an interesting experience. It looked like people were having the time of their lives. There were also a couple of near accidents. I am surprised more freak accidents don't happen up there, especially with the amount of people...
