I think the sign does say 'end of trail', but whatever! Pick a trailhead, any trailhead. Better than the middle of nowhere.

Got it... I'll see what I can do to get some attention, or find out reasoning.

Pretty much, the trail starts in Allegheny State Park and heads east - and I'm only suggesting that because the map numbering is such - Map MT/CT1 starts in ASP and map numbering inkers up from there. Also, the FLT and the North Country Scenic Trail co-exist as the NCST enters NY from PA - so most consider that "continuing" on toward the east.
