Awesome pics, Gillian!

I'm still smiling from this weekend. Wow. Good times, good times.

It was a real Pukefest !

The best part was standing around the fire talking about who we could ostracize from the group.

Thanks SK and Elle for hosting yet another amazing weekend of music and fun.

This was definitely the best Bearly Live yet. Awesome music, dancing, and friends.

I got to meet some new people and connect with friends that I haven't seen in far too long.

What a blast!! Some highlights that I remember (yes, that's right..... I remember) are ...

the music and friends, of course
chair tobogganing (thankfully NOT breaking the chair)
the pie eating contest
GG's incredibly blinding flash, and subsequent censorship :)
dodging puke patties (it was a pukefest afterall, wasn't it?)
urban dictionary something-or-other and a vibrating cell phone (you guys are gross)
Billie Jean, aka Breakfast Car Party http://youtube.com/watch?v=NKHq9J60970

skimom, aka the-girl-in-the-white-shirt

Yeah but you're still posting anyway :p

Everything was awesome. Except the Golfcart Gestapo. They sucked.
And my unruly neighbors sucked. They made me eat cheddar dogs at 4am.

And by the way, didn't I say, "what happens at site 6 stays at site 6"? Where are the rest of you Canadians that remember hearing that?
I was at site 6. That didn't suck.
Who was that guy posing as Dr. Wu?

Big Maine Mountain-size thanks to ShepaK and Elle

Hoooo boy... Did I ever have a weekend!

Looking at Gillian's pictures I got to see what I good time I missed by "being there". As some of you know, being there and "being there" are not the same.

Much better than last year's. I definitely earned my rep as one of Giggy's "scumbag hiker friends". My apologies to MEB and Carmel for my rudeness, but then again, what did you expect with THAT set up??? ;)

OK, so I drank more than I EVER have in a weekend execpt for one time up in the hills (12 pack first night, more than that the second), managed to wack two NEHH peaks, got into a long drawn out fight with Marc about Van Halen (read my entry on Elephant), did tequilla shots with a Welsh woman, smoked half a pack for the first time since college, witnessed Giggy drop his pants, cheered on Marc as he shimmied up a tree, did NOT puke or get a hangover, saw a bunch of old friends, made some new friends, heard some great music and most of all LIVED!

Thanks Sherp, Elle, and everyone else who made the weekend what it was.

On Sunday morning, as I laid in my tent remembering the night before I thought of these lyrics:

"Later, I was laying in bed trying to catch my breath. Half ashamed, half smiling at the things we did." -- Chris Isaak

Thanks again to Sherp and Ellie for hosting this year's bash. Thanks also to all who performed or contributed to the performances.

Good people, good hikes, good music, good time...

Gail, her friends Dani and Suzanne, and I hiked Puzzle Mtn on Saturday. A nice moderate hike with some good views and lots of blueberries. We also ran into marchowes, Donna, and Darl58 on the mountain.

A few pics around camp and on the mountain: http://mysite.verizon.net/dbpwebjunk/bearly-live-08/index.html

ps: best quote of the weekend goes to "Girlfriend down! Girlfriend down!"

Thanks so much Sherpa et al for a fantastic weekend. It was great meeting some new folks and seeing the usual cast of characters in full party mode.

On Saturday Youngblood, UFC and I hiked the Baldfaces (along with a few others who have already posted). What a beautiful place! Might move up to the top of the faves list. Here are a few pictures.

Thanks again for all the fun memories and way too much fun!

I have to admit, I had campsite envy!!!

But our little mud pit "Shire" served us well and we had many visitors...some had to cross over the bridge to get to us!!

I think when you see a bridge built on your site, it's a sure sign that the water isn't going to dry out soon!!!

You're plenty good enough... ;)

I just wanted a little dryer/larger site that we could entertain our guests properly.... :D

Don't forget your curtain for your tent window next time :D

It would of been nice not to have 6" of water in our fire pit!

My site was surrounded by RVs, Harleys, electrical outlets and a full service bathroom...

Loved the sign that said "Get back to Nature.." Right next to the WiFi sign.

Mmm, nothing says nature best like Two Lakes Campground. :p

When we arrived at the campground late friday night we headed straight to Sherpa's and were lucky enough to be intercepted by the campground owner and 5 or 6 of his men. He said, "Good evening, you must be from VFTT. I'm your host. Please allow me to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of Two Lakes Campground. If there's anything I can do to make your stay more pleasantly memorable don't hesitate to ask. Mr. Croteau's establishment is this way" And he directed us down the path to Sherps with a smile and said to enjoy the live music and to tell the band not to be shy about turning their amps up to full volume. Such a charming gentleman!
