A co-worker snapped this cat in Westhampton, Western MA a few days ago...

I've been trying to get a decent pic of a couple of Cayote's that frequent our area almost daily. There out very early and seem to stay just far enough away to prevent a decent photo. I've nick named them "Willey" and "Shadow" as the names fit their ability stay out of camera range.

I live a couple of miles from Mt. Wachusett (MA) and hike there almost daily. Sometimes my hiking buddy, a Golden Retriever named Summit, gets spooked while on the trail and won't take another step. When this happens, I usually follow her instincts and go back the way I came, even though I have no idea what she sees or senses. Next time this happens, I won't just look around...I will look up!
