The gravel pit in question on the Forest Legacy Tract in the Ossipee Mountains can easily be seen and photographed from the air.

Perhaps someone who owns a plane should give a ride to some appropriate official on a day when the pit is operating

It's interesting. My out-of-state lawyer and therefore unqualified reading of it is that it makes exceptions for government efforts to enforce against and investigate violations of existing law and insurance companies' rights to prosecute fraud against them and similar policing of contractual obligations. It does not appear though, the language shown in the link at least, to protect or except government investigations for purposes of such as wetlands or other land permitting applications. I'd imagine those are provided for elsewhere in the existing statutes, but it might be worth a look.

The intention, it seems clear, is to keep private citizen A from snooping on p.c. B with a private drone for general or mischievous purposes.

I think it's got to be a lot higher resolution than that - with respect to the new bill proposed for this year, at least. I didn't look at the two-year-old one. Was it enacted?

Hi Kids,
Ok, this nonsense may have been directed at some fool that flies around and takes photos of illegal activities from his airplane. As has been reported, the aerial photos available from Google Earth and many government sources are far better than a snapshot taken (without permission) of some illegal activity taking place on the ground. I have annoyed the Ossipee gang by circling over their sand pit and logging operations. I like flying and if I can annoy the bad guys, so much the better. I have added one of my better "steer with your knees and lean out the window" pictures of the illegal sandpit. Again, Google Earth is far better but I have fun anyway. No matter how many representatives have been bought by the rich kids, Google Earth will still have superior, perhaps 6 inch resolution, photos of everyplace.

I think you missed the entire thread (you might want to go back and re-read the entire thing). The land is supposed to be for public use. The gravel pit was supposed to be cleaned up 10 years ago. It's not about the view of the gravel pit. It's about hiding (or exposing) what's going on there.

Actually, a wheel on the airplane hit a rut in the field and around and over I went, very quickly. The payback for my folly was after my cracked wrist healed up, I had to fix the airplane. I have many photos of the Whites from above. Rocket 21 has a whole set of photos he took of old ski areas one day when we did a fly around. Here is one of my pictures

Because we the people paid $1.4 million in cash a decade ago in part for that gravel pit to be shut down.

Again, there's no conspiracy. You can either accept the facts or ignore them. And you seem to be intentionally ignoring them (possibly because you have lots of "logger friends", as you claim). The land was supposed to be cleaned up. It has not been cleaned up. We have photo evidence and the people who own the land are lobbying to get laws in place so they cannot be exposed. Your (theoretical) tax money paid for the clean up so one would think you would have a vested interest in seeing it done.

Now you're just trolling. Although, I don't think I would expect more from a person that drops in on a thread like this and calls someone a "rich kid" and asks them to take their plane and get pictures of different mountains that YOU would prefer to see, meanwhile backhandedly offering fake sympathy for someone who was injured in a plane crash.

Aside from your trolling, I'd assume that anyone that loves (or has a vested tax interest) the mountains of New Hampshire would care about preserving a unique ring dike complex such as the Ossippees. And to prevent it from being destroyed by gravel mining. Again, this is an assumption that you actually care about the mountains and don't just want to see pretty pictures of them.

I'm drifting here, but I just felt like saying I love to see photos like this. A good friend of mine needed hours while he was in school (now a captain flying for UPS) and we'd go up all the time and I'd take pictures. Did a college project on a floodplain of the Pemi/Baker confluence, then did a slide show of it. Instant "A" as soon as the professor saw my introductory shot.
