Update; Last week I adjusted the flow and tossed some dollar-store clothes line down the face. Today, we have a bunch of beautiful ice with the thickest daggers where my string was. I have no doubt that we can double the ice coverage up top with more adjustments. The arete on left is new and climbable with a steep finish. Daggers are too fragile to whack at just yet.
I've got several other natural and farmed ice projects under development this winter but will be happy to host whiskey bearing guests after local friends and I have climbed it past the state of novelty. Thanks for the offer.
When are you going to invite those of us that like this stuff to check it out?
I was in Ouray 2 yrs ago and this is the basic setup. Every night starting at 4:30, they do a mist spray and by the morning it is beautiful climbable pure heaven!
