Actually, most of those climbing Everest these days are very dependent on other people to help them get up the mountain, which is dangerous...

IE, guides, Sherpas, prepared routes, fixed ropes, porters carrying gear and setting up camps, etc.

I've heard from some experienced people that these days Chocoura is considered more difficult although actually less climbed than Everest.
