Thinking of climbing mt kangamangus next weekend and would like to know what would be the best approach in the winter and we plan on leaving friday night and coming back on sunday...will this give us enough time and. Any info anybody has on this mt. would be much appreciated.

I was one of those that did it from height of land on the Livermore Trail. The woods were open. On the ridge, it seemed the Forest Service might have cut a boundary swath.

That pretty picture in my avatar was taken at the cannister on Mt Kancamagus.
 
I have climbed Kancamagus twice in winter from a sharp turn on Rt 112 where there is a big space plowed. There is some steep stuff and some thick stuff but I'd say it's more like half a day than 3 days :)
 
thanks for the input roy i figured a whole weekend would be overkill but we may try and bag some other peaks while we are in the area.
