Wow, Rick summed it up well for me also. 2005 was a more limited hiking year for me mostly due to other family responsibilities. I too look with envy at those out there that hike every weekend and spend their vacations hiking out west, but hey - our lives are generally governed by the choice we make!

- Continue to work on and relish the NE67/NE115 without becoming obsessed

- Run the Pemi Loop

- Run the Hyannis Marathon (February) in less than 3:30

- Finish the Bull Run 50-miler ultra in April and qualify for the Vermont 100

- Finish the Vermont 100

- Maintain my A average in grad school

- Buy a house

I like this thread, and the ideas people have. Thanks for sharing.

Mine are as follows:

1. Finish my 48.
2. Meet more people
3. Do my first winter tenting overnight
4. Do several summer overnights
5. Stop more often to enjoy the sights and sounds
6. Enjoy the moment

Try to hike more

Keep up working out

Make more new friends

Oh, yeah, I stopped making resolutions, cause I hardly ever stick to em. JK :D

these are some of mine....

1. finish more music and get more gigs

2. climb more mountains and spend more time outdoors

3. spend less time online

4. take better care of myself

5. try to be more understanding of others

Hope everyone has a great New Year!

Here are a few of mine ---

I've been thinking about this a lot, and here are just a few of mine:

1. Love more
2. Fear less
3. Contribute more
4. Count blessings
5. Let go of anger and hurt
6. Hike more (working on Winter 4Ks now)
7. Complain less

So many resolutions, so little time!

For 2006, I'd like to:
_ Finish the NE67 (60 down, 7 more to go) then never do another list again ... seriously ... well, OK, maybe go for the 111s! ;)
_ Do a Prezzi traverse; kilkenny ridge traverse; "semi-pemi" traverse
_ Explore the backwoods tentsites in NH whether there are mountains to bag nearby or not.
_ Work on my trail (AirLine)
_ Finally get to Gray Knob, Crag and/or the Perch

And then some personal resolutions:
_ Have more patience
_ Get better at playing guitar
_ Get more every-day exercise
_ Read more books

Happy New Year, everyone! :D
