Great thread! Some great images from everyone.

I found this little beauty while on my hands and knees getting some images of some Yellow Wood Sorrel. It is Corn Speedwell and it is the tiniest flower I have ever come across.

With no wind and an hour to kill after work last night, I headed off to the open land under the power lines to check out any wildflower opportunites. Here are what I found:

Many of the meadow flowers are starting to bloom in SoNH...including daisies, trefoil, and LUPINES! I also found some blue-eyed grass the other day...

Won't be long now before we get fields of daisies, fields of lupines, and fields of irises! Can't wait.

Also...now is the time to begin following the sugar hill lupine blog...

On 22-May-2010 at about 3100 ft elevation in the Franconia Range, I saw what's shown in the photo below.
The photo is a bit blurry since the plant was being buffeted by gusty winds. However, is there enough there to enable someone to tell me if this is Deer's Hair Sedge, Highland Rush, Tufted Bulrush, or none of the above?!

I'll take a stab. Based on the photo, my guess is Deer's-hair sedge. It doesn't have the look of Highland Rush to me.

yeah, definitely Trichophorum cespitosum (deer's-hair sedge). The tufted look w/ the single small flowerhead gives it away. Graminoids are tough, but you could have narrowed it down to sedges (not grasses/rushes) by feeling the leaf blades for edges... this one is just distinctive, Tricophorum just looks like that. there's a similar one that's found in a few oak-hickory forests of southern NH. If you don't go by geography/habitat, then you're stuck with evil technical characteristics.

Well, I'm a novice at wildflower identification. And so once again, I need some help with identifying a wildflower. The snapshot below was taken on 23-May-2010 at about 2,100 ft elevation on the Peabody Brook Trail in the Mahoosuc Range.
