If you read down a ways to Sue's account of the Pemi trip, they switched to crampons, then snowshoes, back to crampons and then "barefooted their way back to the Kanc". Who knows, maybe they did.

There is a 'barefoot phil' who has done all the Catskills barefoot.

I believe someone also did the 46's barefoot.
