If I'd be welcome I'd like to come :) Any dates planned?

I can bring drums, guitars or other instruments for the playing ;)

And beer...

I'll say it again ANY and ALL are welcome, as long as their respectful & nice :) This is going to take place on MLK weekend in January. It appears that there is going to be a lot of music at this, definitely bring some instruments!

if we hit smuggs, it freakin 5 hours of driving and I think most approaches are about an hour - don't leave much time for climbing' - or drinkn''' :(

I am sure we can find something closer - steve, the week before run the hose out your top window down the house. :D

Doug,
We should talk soon - we only need one set of drums. Axes, on the other hand seem to be a much more personal item.

UFC: I don't think you know what you are getting yourself into. We need to know how much your deductible is so we can pass the hat

So, does it make sense for music on Saturday or Sunday night?

As for looking like our avatars, I agree. I was quite the jigsaw puzzle recently. Giggy: be afraid, be very afraid. Next thing we'll hear that you're trying to fix someone up with Shizzy!~ ;)

So how does this work? Is there a practice or just an open mike jam session?

Gorpburp plays electric violin, drums, and guitar. should he bring one or all? What about amps?

So what about UFC's electric bill?

What about fire wood? I could bring some...I play the splitting maul.

1) I assume it's a safe assumption  that a hat'll be passed much like was done at the ADK gathering to cover some misc. expenses such as electric, gas, portapotties, etc....

2) I will plan on getting a bunch of wood together which'll be the biggest task, however in my opinion, you can't have too big a fire (at least not in these parts) so of course if people want to bring wood to burn I'm pretty sure it won't go to waste. After all, we want to make sure that everyone stays "UNFROZEN" :D

No worries, there's always the djembe, bongos, tambourine, cowbell... :D

The pics are really great, thanks for sharing.

But the reading is... hum. Interesting ?
Yes, interesting how ice making and climbing is intertwined with politics...
I thought that maybe I should put a disclaimer on it or something... but it's more interesting when you start reading it without warning ;)

In all seriousness, you should look into passing the hat for one or two porta-potties. They've worked out great at Spence's the past few years, and last winter at GO's.

Should we get an extra one to use as a bobsled?

I flipped off an email to find out about group rates, etc.

Bubba, I've skied Ascutney, and while it's reasonably fun, I think you would MUCH prefer Killington. Just a thought...

Gorpburp plays electric violin
WHOAA - way cool! Papa John/Hot Tuna? Let's roll! This i gotta hear/jam with! :D :D :D

Hey all you musicians: my own OPINION is there can never be to many voices/vocals, acoustic guitars, portable drums or unique instruments. Only too many electric instruments seem to get in the way of each other (bass, guitars, keys). Since the Maine/Mass/NH and VT/NH croos do not always cross pollenate (sp?) this could be extra cool cosmic music... :D :D :D

Ya, portapotties are a requirement with this crowd. I don't know what it is with the VFTT crowd....it is like they all consume a lot of beverages or something. Maybe a huge effort to hydrate. Everytime I have a VFTT get-together at my house, my well goes dry from people flushing the toilets so much. It's like they all just go to the bathroom non-stop. The fluid intake level is just really high.
