  • Hey, thanks for the green spot! I thought of you during the hike, in fact -- I think you would have enjoyed my friend Bart. I'll tell you more at Beer & Vittles this Friday.
It seems I was more of an "expert Caribou Valley Road resident," for a while there.
yeah, I was talking to Reji James about giving him a ride to the skook TH. Next time I hope to meet you- wear a nametag, ok? : )
we are having a brief rain out here, its a window that lasts about 8 hours, they had it in NY earlier today. i find it funny that this am at 5:30 weatherunderground had lincoln at a 20% chance of precip, then it changed to 60% by 8am (for sunday).
crappy crappy weather! i was going to come up sunday with my friend karen and hike franconia ridge, but the forecast is just tooo sucky to drag her all the way up from ny...sigh...
Thanks for the green spot, Jeremy. I *finally* figured out how to load photos into my posts! Tuckerman and I look forward to meeting you on the trail soon... Tuck isn't much of a beer drinker, so he'll probably skip the next C-Man gathering, alas.
Well, I'll be...the car was mine (blue Honda). At about the time you were hitting Lincoln, we were just about to Sandra's car in the Flume parking lot, getting ready to drive back to the Skook parking lot.
uugh! i wrote part II of my TR last night -- complete with photos -- and then fell asleep with my laptop on...woke up today and its lost! (not the laptop, but part II!)
    Hey J
one of the first things I'd like to do when the snowpack melts is hit Weeks, Horn and Bulge -- I may be even interested in a one day Kilkenny Traverse, if you are up for it, perhaps we can arrange to car spot.
    Hope you are better soon!
I can't believe I'm driving 8 hours saturday to hike 6! But , I am so happy to finally get my buddy Karen hiking in the big mountains!
Bummer about this weekend...but, I'm heading to the Catskills...my closest friend has never hiked anything higher than a 2k, and I am very happy to be leading her and her daughter on a hike in the Catskills saturday. Makes a nice Mother's Day present for her! Hope you have a fun weekend...sounds drizzly...nurse that knee!
