is there some reason i cannot see the poll questions (where to vote?)

Anyways - I am against the snow at this point, although I would prefer it was in the mountains and not in the Boston area!

I vote for more snow until the end of winter, followed by mild sunny spring weather.

Spring skiing in May!

Bring it on... we've got a very solid glacier going, so spring skiing ought to be outstanding. Now we need a few more storms to keep things fresh between now and April.

I say all this in spite of how good it felt to be out walking around Boston in just a fleece yesterday, with warm sun and temps in the 40s... There'll be plenty of time for that after ski season...

spring snow is nice - so keep it coming I guess as long as it doesn't interfere with my plans.

I prefer the snow/rain combo - boilerplate rules - snowshoes suck.

Snow in the mtns is almost guaranteed. I want more where I live!

I love snow through April. The thing is, most people I associate with here at work don't like it at all and see me as a bit of an oddball. But I am strong enough to stay with my own beliefs!

I'd be interesting to see a break down of people who live up north vs. those who live in snow-challenged areas down south. I love to ski and have grown *somewhat* fond of snowshoeing, however I'm sick of the snow! We already have plenty up here - I'm more concerned about how long it's going to take for it all to melt and how long until mud season will be over!

It's not even the end of February...of course we need more Snow. Remember back in Nov. only three months ago most here were pining for the White Stuff. Hey another month or two more. It's the NE...any which way you look at it we won't be going to the beach for awhile.

Amen to that.

Need more snow to fill in Tuckerman's. Been a few years since we have had true late "spring" skiing in the bowl. The last good snow year I remember going up to Hermit Lake and noticing that many of the shelterss were buried over the roof and accessed by a tunnel!

Maybe a year for snowshoes on Memorial day?

Not sure if the folks with riverfront would agree :(

I did not vote. If there was no snow I would be doing a lot more running and cycling. This Friday I'll be heading up to Bretton Woods for some alpine skiing with my son, and I hope to snowshoe on Saturday and Sunday. I try not to worry about things I cannot control. One thing for sure, I'm gonna be dead BEFORE I move to Florida.

Seeing as I went to the beach just a few days ago, I voted for more snow. I haven't actually used my snowshoes yet this year, so I'm hoping for some big dumps as soon as I get back to New England.

There's some snow in the mountains 'round here, but it's strange stuff: no ice underneath it at all. Doesn't seem right.

I'm good on snow. I've skied too much this winter. My knees are killing me. I have already six times the amount of hours on my snowblower as I did last year. Soccer starts in seven weeks, and right now the snowbanks in my yard are over my head.

I love snow, but I don't need anymore in Southern NH.

More, more, more! True, it's getting harder to find some of the trails in the mountains, and the branches I normally duck under are now whacking me in the knees, but still, I love winter. It's been so nice around the house that I haven't felt the need to go to the mountains much to get my winter fix. Of course, I'm lucky enough to have miles of hiking trails (and a large, frozen lake) right out my door. Dealing with the black snow of the city would stink.

There's a place in your soul where the winter cannot go
If you're lucky you can get there
And get away from the black snow

I voted for more snow, but could I specify where I want it to fall?! :D I'd love to have it keep snowing up in the White Mountains so we can keep xc skiing through March at least, but I'd love to have the snow die down along the coast of Maine, so Snowman and I can get back out trail running around Brunswick and out in Bradbury Mountain State Park early this spring on nice, dry trails :)
