Several have died from postholing in the Whites? I haven't read any news accounts or NH F&G releases about them.

Helmet use lowers the injury/fatality rate in alpine skiing. I've never heard of anyone dying due to postholing.

Wearing a helmet use does not lower the risk of injury to other people. Postholing increases the risk of other people getting injured.
